The treaty that saw us free,

that gave us liberty,

Given to us through our fight,

just like Paul ran through the night.

The Treaty that made the States,

Seventeen-eighty-three made us so happy

we crossed the river that looked like a strait.

Merci, Paris!

George helped us get here

made our borders to send out the deer

Got the East to the Mississippies

We’ll send the yankees

Back home to Britain

Where they’ll go back to their labour of diggin’.

The Treaty that made the States,

Seventeen-eighty-three made us so happy

we crossed the river that looked like a strait.

Merci, Paris!
